Interventional Radiology
In interventional radiology, doctors use imaging equipment to guide diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, with the advantage of being a minimally invasive procedure. Interventional radiology reduces cost, recovery time, pain, and risk for patients who would otherwise require traditional open surgery. Imaging modalities used to guide procedures include fluoroscopy and ultrasound.
We perform the procedures both in our clinic and in hospitals, and they are performed by a group of radiologists specialized in this type of intervention.
Orthopantomography
Orthopantomography or panoramic radiography is a radiographic technique that allows you to obtain panoramic radiographs that are capable of showing complex anatomical structures. It includes both dental arches (upper jaw and jaw), maxillary sinuses, temporomandibular joints (ATM) and with less sharp soft tissue structures. The goal of orthopantomography is to translate all these anatomical structures into a two-dimensional radiographic image (in two dimensions).
Elastography diagnosis
We have elastrography tests, carrying out this study to map the elastic properties and rigidity of soft tissues for the detection or knowledge of the state of any condition and/or disease.
Treatment of Uterine Fibroids
At our CITA Ultrasonido de Alta Especialidad – Dr. Maury Center we provide treatment and diagnosis of uterine fibroids to detect irregularities in the shape of your uterus through Interventional Radiology, as it helps to experience significant relief in a high percentage of women.
